We are saddened to share that Dr. Adam Thomas Perry, a cherished physician, husband, father, and friend, has passed away. Dr. Perry passed away peacefully in his home in Lafayette, LA, on March 15, 2024, at the age of 49.
Early Life and Education
Dr. Adam Thomas Perry was born on April 12, 1975, in New Orleans, LA, to parents Robert and Mary Perry. He grew up with a strong passion for science and a deep desire to help others, which led him to pursue a career in medicine. He attended Tulane University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He later attended LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he received his Doctor of Medicine degree.
Medical Career
After completing his residency at Ochsner Medical Center, Dr. Perry moved to Lafayette, LA, to begin his practice. Over the years, he became a respected and compassionate physician, known for his dedication to his patients and his community. Dr. Perry specialized in internal medicine and was affiliated with several hospitals in the Lafayette area. His patients often spoke of his kind demeanor and his ability to make them feel at ease.
Personal Life
Outside of his medical career, Dr. Perry was a devoted family man. He married his college sweetheart, Lisa, in 2001, and together they raised three beautiful children: Emily, Jacob, and Sarah. Dr. Perry was an active member of his local church and enjoyed participating in community events. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hiking, and spending time with his family in nature.
